Aside from just a different approach on solutions to the problem, sometimes having no knowledge in a field is better than having lots of knowledge in that one must think outside of the box in a new, different, creative, and often innovative way. The pooling of ideas from multiple non-expert minds adds flavor, style and a uniqueness that cannot be brought out through the expertise of a professional.
